Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page lists what moroccancooks.com uses them for and how to switch them off.

Categories we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function — for example, rate limiting on the contact form to prevent abuse. These cannot be switched off and do not require consent.
Preferences (local storage, not cookies)
When you save a recipe, the recipe identifier is stored in your own browser’s local storage. It is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Analytics
Used to count visits and understand which pages are read. Where the provider we use sets cookies or processes personal data, we ask for consent first in regions where that is required.
Advertising
If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies to limit how often you see an ad, to measure campaign performance, and — with consent where required — to personalise the ads you see.
Typical cookies you may encounter
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| __gads / __gpi | Google AdSense | Ad measurement and frequency capping | Up to 13 months |
| IDE / test_cookie | Google DoubleClick | Ad personalisation and delivery | Up to 13 months |
| mc:saved-recipes | Moroccan Cooks (local storage) | Remembers recipes you saved, in your browser only | Until you clear it |
This table describes the cookies commonly set once advertising is switched on. Keep it accurate for the services you actually run.
Managing cookies
- Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings — look for “Privacy” or “Site data”.
- Blocking all cookies may break parts of this or other websites.
- To opt out of personalised advertising specifically, visit Google Ads Settings or Your Online Choices.
